The University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences is a department within the university that offers majors in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders, and PA Studies. The department approached Honey to set out supporting brand identity elements and guidelines that corresponded with the university guidelines but would set the college apart from other science related departments. This was a unique brand in that we had to abide by the PR department and get approval to maintain primary aspects of the university strategy like font choices and main colors while revamping some key pieces to make sure they stood out. Ultimately, we created a set of supporting 20th century Bauhaus-inspired line elements that emphasize the problem solving and scientific approach to design. These qualities coincide with those of the College and are key contributors to tell their story graphically. We also implemented a varied take on the university standard fonts that drive focus to headlines.
